Mark Dillon
MARK DILLON portrays Garza, a mob boss to be feared.
Mark is, quite possibly, the Chicago acting community's best kept secret. With a style uniquely his own, Mark has carved out a niche for himself as the grand villain of The Artistic Home theatre, currently on Irving Park on Chicago's North side.
Mark's first role at The Artistic Home was in the production of Tennessee Williams' Orpheus Descending, wherein he portrayed Jabe, the patriarch of a small southern town. Dillon has since been seen at The Artistic Home as Quentin's father in After the Fall, as the father of the bride in Peer Gynt and as Sam's elderly dad in Street Scene. Mark was also a part of The Artistic Home's sixth annual Cut to the Chase presentation of Nod, in which he played a kidnapper who menaced a fatherless young boy. In Natural Affection, Dillon was cast as Vince Brinkman, Claire's sugar daddy and father figure.
Mark was recently seen in the highly acclaimed Clash by Night and in Unchanging Love.
Mark's other film appearances include Spaceman Dan's 243rd Flight, as the father of a woman with a disturbed past.
In other venues, Mark has played Fagin, the surrogate father of homeless street urchins, and as the ne'er-do-well sire of Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady. Mark's acting style has evidently been greatly influenced by proponents of the Dadaist artistic movement.
