JOHN MOSSMAN portrays Tommy Grant, a cop on the take who is about to take his revenge on everyone who has ever crossed him or hurt him.

John is an excellent actor, an accomplished filmmaker, theatre director, and teacher.

John is co-founder of The Artistic Home, where he recently directed the acclaimed revivals of Clifford Odet's Clash by Night and William Inge's Natural Affection, as well as Beth Henley's The Miss Firecracker Contest and Riders to the Sea by J.M. Synge. He has directed several short films that have won top awards at numerous international film festivals, including the Artistic Home-produced Spaceman Dan's 243rd Flight, winner of Best of Fest and Audience Favorite at the Rochester Film Festival, and the Kodak Opportunity Award at the Wisconsin Film Festival.

John has also directed Draggage and Jell-Ohh Lady, featured in the American Cinematheque Series at LA's Egyptian Theater, and for which he received the Best Director of 2002 award at Chicago Community Cinema.

As an actor, he most recently appeared in The Artistic Home's critically acclaimed productions of Peer Gynt in the role of Peer, for which he received a Jeff Nomination and a Chicago Stage Talk Award. He also appeared in Arthur Miller's After the Fall in the role of Quentin, and as Tripp in 5 Women Wearing The Same Dress. Other notable roles include Chicken in Kingdom of Earth, the title role in Tom Jones, Valentine in Two Gentlemen of Verona, Dickon in The Scarecrow, Claudio in Measure For Measure, Lanx in Angel City, Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet at Actors' Theater of Louisville, Honeyman in A Walk In The Woods at Madison Repertory and Jim in A Glass Menagerie with Celeste Holm.

He recently directed Julius Caesar for the Lakeside Shakespeare Theater and is the coordinator of the IFP Mentorship Program, a filmmaking collaboration with Chicago Public Schools.

In Los Angeles he appeared on television, and performed and produced theater at the Pacific Resident Theater Ensemble. He is the winner of two Telly Awards, is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and is currently an instructor at The Artistic Home as well as at Columbia College and Chicago Filmmakers.
