MATTHEW VASILIAUSKAS wrote and directed Night of the Fireflies.

Matt is a senior in Film at Columbia College Chicago, with a focus on screenwriting. He also produces an entertainment program for Chicago's WGN radio. For the past four years he has been a critic and interviewer for Film Monthly, interviewing celebrities and filmmakers David Lynch, Rachel Weisz, Elijah Wood, among others.

This is Matt's third short film in three years and his most ambitious to date. He expects Fireflies to be well accepted on the festival circuit.
